Hi Penny,
Iv spent a whole day (rang in sick) watching video clips of your performances on youtube.
I got on to watching you through going down the rabbit hole of Quentin and Warhol links
Then saw a post from the Contact Theatre in Manchester and got tickets for your show on Thursday. how coincidental!

I am a huge fan of Quentin who l believe to be the rightful Queen of England. You probably know this but Quentin died in Manchester and you will see street art around our 'gay village' dedicated to him.

by the way, l really agree with you about cup cakes! Manchester is the UK's mini NYC, all the artists came here and all the gentrification followed too..we live in strange times but l guess today was a good day to be sick.. l got well soon.

Thank you
See you Thursday.. l will try to say hello if lm drunk enough ha

Hiyer!

I think that I'm being taken by my lovely girlfriend Lis to see the show in Norwich tomorrow, I'll be the one in the audience who can't believe his luck.
Byer!

Hello Penny,

Thank you for bringing Longing Last Longer to Melbourne - I am so glad I got to witness your brilliant authentic self in action!

You asked audience members how they ended up at your show. A few weeks ago, I over-heard someone talking about one of the shows they had seen in the Melbourne Comedy Festival. The way she was talking about it, I got a buzzing feeling that this was something I should see. I learnt your name, found out you had extra nights and was planning to buy a ticket. That same week, a friend from work asked if I'd like to join her at an event for which she had a spare ticket. .......and it was your show!!

My confession is that prior to this, I didn't know who you were. I was born in 1980, fully submerged. I was never a rebel or activist. I was never really cool or informed about the underground. I spent my twenties re-parenting myself, so apart from my personal work and a little bit of pop-songwriting and music shows, I didn't achieve much creatively, academically or professionally.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm too old and have failed, like it's too late to do anything with my life. But that's bullshit!! Hearing your words has lit a fire in me.

I resonated with your ideas and was enthralled right to the end of the show. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us all! It's truly a gift. What a ride!

Hey Penny!
Loved the Sydney show (both nights!!) do you have any NYC dates for Longing Lasts Longer in the works for 2016? Or are there any other of your shows planned for NYC? There are some friends and family....
(too young to remember how things are disjointed from reality now; if you know what I mean)
...whom I would love to buy tickets for!
X J.

Great to see you at the Wheeler tonight. Looking forward to one of your shows at the Comedy festivals. Will see what I can do about your search for a husband, I wouldn't mind you being my sister (inlaw). Cheers

Thanks for a great show Saturday 19th March Hobart.
You were a beautiful respite in my chaotic life right now (sans family problems) of which I have no control over but have been sucked up into via "life just f*cking happens, ready or not".
Its warming to know that there are like minded people out there who try to resist rampant consumerism. I changed my life for the better many years ago through sheer hard grit and determination - it can't be bought online.
Thanks,

Gael McLeod,
Nurse of 40 years and counting.
